The Tulip Foundation for Women Human Rights Defenders has been working in the field of women's rights since 2017. It is a non-governmental organization that was registered on May 27, 2021. The foundation is considered a feminist organization, focusing on the protection of women human rights defenders (WHRDs) and other human rights defenders in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).

The foundation has a network of young feminist activists and human rights defenders, aged between 18 and 36, across all Iraqi provinces and KRI.

Our activists are engaged in monitoring and documenting human rights violations, as well as supporting feminist movements, women’s rights, and gender justice. Additionally, the Foundation provides legal and psychological support to women human rights defenders.

The Tulip Foundation for WHRDs seeks to empower young women politically and enhance their participation in decision-making processes. We have notable examples of our work in this area, with the Foundation conducting voluntary activities to empower women and girls politically. Several female leaders within the Foundation have actively participated in political processes and played significant roles in decision-making.

"We believe in the potential of all women to embrace their identity, define their future, and positively impact the world."
